FERRITE MAGNETS,CERAMIC MAGNETS

Permanent Ferrite magnets, Strong Ferrite magnets, Ferrite magnets Manufacturer, China Ferrite magnets

FERRIT MAGNETS Ferrite magnets, also known as ceramic magnets are a type of permanent magnet and are made of the chemical compound ferrite, which consists of ceramic materials and iron oxide (Fe2O3), the chemical composition is SrO-6(Fe2O3). They are used to make permanent magnets for applications such as refrigerator magnets, loudspeakers, and small electric motors. Soft ferrites have low coercivity, so they easily change their magnetization and act as conductors of magnetic fields.

Ferrite(Ceramic) magnets are composed of SrO or BaO and Fe2O3. They are charcoal gray in color and usually appear in the forms of discs, rings, blocks, cylinders, and sometimes arcs or segments for motors.

Ferrite magnets are very hard and brittle and require specialized machining techniques. Moreover, they should be machined in an unmagnetized state. We have equipped to machine these materials to specifications.

Anisotropic grades are oriented in the manufacturing direction and must be magnetized in the direction of orientation. Isotropic grades are not oriented and can be magnetized in any direction, although some degree of greater magnetic strength will be found in the pressing dimension, usually the shortest dimension.

Due to their low cost, Ferrite magnets enjoy a very wide range of applications, from motors and loudspeakers to toys and crafts, and are the most widely used permanent magnets today.

Physical Properties of Ferrite magnets:

Compressive Strength 1.4 x 104 kg/cm2
Required Magnetizing Field 12,000 – 15,000 Oe
Electrical Resistivity > 104 μ-ohm-cm/cm2

Surface Treatment of Ferrite magnets:

The corrosion resistance of Ferrite is considered excellent, and no surface treatments are required. However, Ferrite magnets may have a thin film of fine magnet powder on the surface and for clean, non-contaminated applications, some form of the coating may be required.
